This page is meant to give AI authors and players alike a guide at hand on judging the completeness and competitiveness of AIs.

Simple test

Grab the corresponding map, load it, start the AI (console: start_ai <name of AI>) and wait for 10 years. Judge the result by the following:

  • Crash: -5 points
  • running unprofitable or doing nothing: 0 points
  • otherwise (i.e. making profit): points as indicated

Vehicle capabilities

  • Ships: 5 points
  • Road vehicles: 5 points
    • realistic accelration (7% slope), original vehicles
    • Savegame (v1) for this test
  • Rail vehicles: 5+5 points (5 for usage, addition 5 for using more than point to point connections)
    • realistic acceleration (3% slope), original vehicles
    • Savegame (v1) for this test
  • Aircraft: 5 points
