I'm sure there are alot of suggestions that people have in their heads to make WWOTTDGD #3 better. Talk about them here :) To make things more organised please keep suggestions relating to the category they fall in. Please read the suggestions that are already here, incase your suggestion has been suggested before. Please add a ' # ' to the start of all new suggestions (to keep them organised) and remember to sign them with your name (and date if you're pedantic)

Suggestions about what GRF's should be used.
- I know NewGRFs looks cool but every grf which is loaded increase the desync chance and decrease the game speed in an already slow game, and we actually never use all newgrfs. I personally got lags about newgrfs in huge cities. We should carefully choose only a small subset of newgrfs (maybe only one station set, one train set, thats all), maybe even no newgrfs at all. --Progman 00:07, 14 July 2008 (CEST)
- I'll second Progman's nogrf/logrf suggestion. They do look great but yes the game it time runs terrible for me and several others. I seen the desyncs cause more than a few people to disappear early in the day because they wanted to play but couldn't stay in. I would prefer more of logrf. one large station set and maybe a couple other things as needed. --Logix 08:39, 14 July 2008 (CEST)
- One NewGRF can as much desync as 10 NewGRFs. But you are right, WWOTTDGD/2 didn't use much of them anyway, what I really missed, btw. ;-) --Ammler 09:35, 16 July 2008 (CEST)

Suggestions about the map.
- Make single regions more versatile, especially wrt PAX. Will happen anyway --planetmaker

Suggest any custom patches/improvements on current patches.
- Better handling of many clients (no ugly hax)
- Disable opening / closing of primary & secondary Industries, yet still allow them to change production based on provided service. With such a patch, we could provide an absolutely fair challenge for each team. (Tim)

Any other suggestions fall in here.
- The patch settings must be checked carefully, especially the one you miss at the beginning. We found before the event start the forbit-90-deg-turn setting was off and was activated, but the setting for waggon-limits wasn't "found" as wrong and we got slow trains all the time. There should be a complete(!) checklist about the patch settings. --Progman 23:49, 13 July 2008 (CEST)
- While I do think Progmans suggestion is good and reasonable I do not agree on wagon speed limits. Along with realistic acceleration it is something that adds to the game and makes it more interesting. - While we don't yet have a compact train-speed sorter Mark have made a train-length sorter that is fairly small and could be used for separation of trains.
