Talk:Roadmap 0.6
From OpenTTD
What about owning raw material producing industries and selling the raw material to transport companies? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 62.206.18.190 (talk • contribs).
How about subways? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.78.100.123 (talk • contribs).
AFAIK subways will be possible after new map array is complete, but this still needs people to draw subway stations (ground (for people to move in/out)+ underground (main stations) and of course - metros + subway tunnels). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 194.108.217.125 (talk • contribs).

[edit] Updated
I've updated a bit the Roadmap for 0.6..
Deleted things that there's no prove that they will be implemented or be worked on..
Only add them again, when they really are being worked in trunk or branch..
Please do not add wishes of yours or things you may think openttd will add..
Also updated some stats..
Thanks :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Digitalfox (talk • contribs).
[edit] Bridges
Custom bridgeheads won't allow bridges to cross. They only allow the bridgeheads to be treated as normal tiles.
Crossing bridges was once part of the "Magic Bridges" test branch, but the feature was removed as it caused graphical glitches. (Bridges have no stored "height"). If it was ever to be brought back again (which I doubt for a while), it'd be a part of "Full flexible track/road layout under bridges", as would bridges over houses, stations, and everything else you can think of. [edit] Newhouses
Added Newhouses branch.. :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Digitalfox (talk • contribs).
[edit] Subsidiaries
Removed Subsidiarie after conversation with darkvader..
Peace :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Digitalfox (talk • contribs).
[edit] Revision numbers
Added Revision numbers.. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Digitalfox (talk • contribs).
[edit] Suggestion
It'll be helpful for budding coders/developers if we write down the revision number when a completed feature was committed instead of just the date. 172.143.245.162 18:37, 11 January 2007 (CET)
- How about more zoom levels even with the old graphics. They might have to be interpolated, but it would be easier to play on high dpi displays. 131.220.201.93 14:10, 26 January 2007 (CET)
[edit] New map array
I cant find this here or in 0.7. Why is NMA removed ? And is chance to be included aggain ?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 194.108.217.125 (talk • contribs).
- It was removed here for some reason. The forum has more info. In a nutshell the project has reached its goal. Jupix 22:54, 24 January 2007 (CET)
- I read it, but i little confused. It allow underground stations or not ? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 194.108.217.125 (talk • contribs).
- I don't know for certain, but if I had to guess, it has not been decided yet. Jupix 15:01, 8 February 2007 (CET)

The new map array wouldn't include any features. It'd be un-noticable to the player. New features come later as independant projects. Born Acorn 18:49, 8 February 2007 (CET)
[edit] PBS
I can't find any reference to PBS in the official roadmaps. Since MiniIn will not be updated anymore from 0.5.0, there is no possibility to use the PBS with all the other nice latest improvements that are done to the trunk... --Prins@je80 01:09, 9 February 2007 (CET)
[edit] Trams
I think that you can add "trams" in the roadmap, Valance is developing it, and there is some screenshots and patchs: http://tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=30383 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.172.13.154 (talk • contribs).
- Hi, thanks for the sugestion, but until openttd dev's include it or think of incuding it in the trunk, we should wait before adding it to roadmap.. Digitalfox —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Digitalfox (talk • contribs).
- Yes, otherwise we'd have every patch on this list, when we know most do not make it in. And please, people, SIGN YOUR POSTS USING FOUR TILDES : ~~~~. It takes work to add the unsigned template every time somebody forgets. Born Acorn 21:00, 15 February 2007 (CET)
- Ok will try to SIGN my posts :) Digitalfox 23:25, 15 February 2007 (CET)

[edit] Diagonal roads
Is posible to add diagonal roads here ? I mean possibility to build roads over diagonal railroads, i found this patch in forum and will be very nice to have it in stable.--194.108.217.125 22:28, 8 March 2007 (CET)
[edit] Pselling
"features on this roadmap are not per defintion going to be in 0.6.0."
Fix teh typo plz, or better yet, unprotect teh article so that I can do it myself. Jupix 22:49, 24 March 2007 (CET)
- Fixed. The article is protected because people were adding their wishlist for $release to the Roadmap. This lead to angry users, who thought the feature would come in $release, when the feature was removed from the Roadmap. Rubidium 23:56, 24 March 2007 (CET)
- This article is protected with good reason. I would bet within a week of any un-protection, someone would add "Trams" more than once. Born Acorn 00:53, 25 March 2007 (CET)
- IMHO: a wiki is supposed to be user-editable. You might want to try adding: "This is not a wishlist. The roadmap and its items are formed by the developers". If you want a roadmap only admins can edit, why not put it on www.openttd.org instead of the wiki. Jupix 01:03, 25 March 2007 (CET)
Newindustries depends on newhouses, not newhousees. Strstrep 20:03, 2 September 2007 (CEST)
[edit] New Industries
Hmm, I can't seem to be able to edit any page on the Wiki, can anybody change the NewIndustries row to "In trunk since r11204"?
- That's due to the fact that the roadmaps are protected. They are protected because people used them as wishlist which caused other people to expect stuff that is not sanctioned by the developers.Rubidium 19:12, 5 October 2007 (CEST)
[edit] Timeline
Is there already a timeline for RCs? --84.56.162.114 21:50, 29 October 2007 (CET)
[edit] Wrong percentage at Global percentage table
In the Global percentage table it shows finished percentage 90%.--79.177.103.170 05:08, 7 November 2007 (CET)
[edit] 0.6.0 has been released
And so this page requires updating from future tense, to present. I'd do it myself if it wasn't protected (IMHO there's no need for protection anymore). Mchl 13:09, 6 May 2008 (CEST)
