From OpenTTD

I think this should not be in wiki. This is a patch, not in the branch and not going there at any near time. Why post here? --Akral 19:48, 21 April 2006 (CEST)

I do believe this is in the Integrated Nightly. That gives it reason enough to be on the wiki, in my opinion. ~ Ryalla 18:43, 2 June 2006 (CEST)
The integrated nightly is not OpenTTD. It is a different project combining features not in OpenTTD. This article should be changed to an expected feature. This feature is not in the branch, and therefore not an OpenTTD feature. This is NOT a MiniIN wiki, and never has been. Boris 20:24, 21 June 2006 (CEST)
The MiniIN is OpenTTD, it's on the same SVN server - http://svn.openttd.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/browser/branch/MiniIN. It is a branch of the mainline OpenTTD code, with a lot of extra patches from the forums integrated, hence the name, MiniIN. - Bruce98 22:21, 21 June 2006 (CEST)
OpenTTD is /trunk/, the MiniIN branch was created to help better organise the MiniIN as a related project as a favour, so true nightlies could be made. Of course you'd need to be on #openttd pretty much 24/7 to know that. But, it is a separate branch for a separate project. But still, we shouldn't start creating feature pages for every MiniIN feature, when every OpenTTD feature doesn't have an article yet. Boris 22:44, 21 June 2006 (CEST)
Now I may be a littel biased since I'm the one updating the Signal GUI, but I disagree with that last comment. You make it sound as if people didn't make these kind of pages then they would spend their time documenting features that are in the game. But in fact, people will only document the features that are interesting to them. Somebody found this feature interesting and they documented it. However the article needs to be properly documented as not a feature of the trunk. I'm not going to stop anybody from deleting this article as it is way out of date. But there are plenty of examples of articles on features that are not in the main code, so I don't think that's a good reason to do it. --Hazelrah 04:52, 22 June 2006 (CEST)
I added a warning template, saying that this feature is in the MiniIN only. - Bruce98 12:45, 22 June 2006 (CEST)
And I made it a note template. In my opinion warnings should be used for things like crashes etc. Things to warn for. This is something to note. On the subject of wether this should be in the wiki: I think it should. Even though the MiniIN isn't really OpenTTD it has a lot to do with it. If you'd have a wiki about google(yes, an entire wiki ;) there could be an article about a feature that yahoo search has but Google does not. But yeah that's still my opinion. And congrats, now you know my ip :) -AllTransport 00:27, 22 August 2006 (CEST)
