Does main line discussion even belong here?
This is a pretty esoteric concept and I think it's probably just going to confuse people who want to learn about the basics. I'm thinking of deleting all references to it but I'd really like someone else's opinion on this.Afdal (talk) 21:58, 26 March 2013 (CET)
In other words, keeping trains from stopping when they need to merge. This is an advanced application of priority merging and requires some extra explanation. I'm trying to decide if I should include it here or make a separate article.Afdal (talk) 21:58, 26 March 2013 (CET)
Forced loop and waiting line
Here's a concept I built while tinkering on the priority merge. It features a forced loop and a cue for entering the loop. The train will reach max speed while inside the loop and then try to exit the loop when the main line is not occupied. Feels like the LHC accelerating a small particle into the big loop.
Feel free to use the concept on the wiki page and make it in a similar fashion.
(It is possible that I used the wrong signal type at some place but you get the idea)
